Postponement of date for organising Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz 2018-19

The dates of the 1st round of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz (BKJ Quiz) has been rescheduled. The 1st round of Quiz test will open for the contestants from 16-31 October, 2018(local time) Cut-off date for registration process is being also extended till 15 October, 2018(local time).





“Bharat ko Janiye” Quiz has now also been opened for “Foreign Nationals”.

With an aim to motivate overseas Indian youth to develop interest to know and understand India, Govt. of India is organizing the 2nd round of “Bharat Ko Janiye” (BKJ) Quiz to be held on line during 16-30 September, 2018 during which the site will remain open for all contestants.

All PIOs and NRIs between the age group of 18-35 years are therefore requested to register themselves at web portal https://www. bharatkojaniye.in as registration for contestants is mandatory.

The dates of the 1st round of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz (BKJ Quiz) has been rescheduled. The BKJ Quiz will now be conducted from 16th September to 30th September, 2018.

The Second edition of Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz (BKJ Quiz) is expected to be organized in July 2018. Ministry of External Affairs has been organizing Know India Programmes (KIPs) for the Indian diaspora youth who have never visited India before. The purpose of conducting KIP is to engage and make the students and young professionals of Indian diaspora feel a sense of connect with their ancestral roots, to be motivated and inspired by the transformational changes taking place in India and to give them an exposure to various facets of contemporary India’s forms of art, heritage and culture.

The Quiz Contest is most likely to be held in the third week of July (July 19-21,2018) when the site will remain open for contestants. Bharat Ko Janiye is now live with web portal https://www.bharatkojaniye.in/.

The BKJ Quiz will be held online for two distinct categories of PIO & NRI aged 15 to 35 years. The Registration on the portal is mandatory by the eligible contestants.

Quiz Structure:

The Quiz will be conducted in 4 rounds. The first round of the Quiz will be conducted by the Missions/Posts abroad online. Second, third and fourth rounds will be conducted by Ministry of External Affairs.

The top three contenders/participants of the first round of online/onsite Quiz from each category of NRI and PIO will qualify for the second round. Third and fourth onsite Rounds of the Quiz will be held in two stages (Semi-Final and Final) in India. From the Semi-Final round (third round), top 3 candidates will be selected to participate in the final round (fourth round). Winners and runners up from each category of PIO and NRI will be decided on the basis of scores obtained in the final round.

After the tour the final round onsite will be held in New Delhi and the top 3 winners will be awarded medals at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2019.
