Mr. Deepak Miglani has taken over as Consul General of India, St. Petersburg, Russia on April 12, 2018.
Born on 21 April 1968, Deepak Miglani did his Graduation from the University of Delhi and joined the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in January 1989.
Prior to assuming his present charge, he was the Consul General of India in Erbil, Iraq during 2016-2018. He had also served as the First Secretary (Economic Affairs) & Head of Chancery at the Embassy of India, Kabul during 2015-2016 and as the Consul General of India in Kandahar, Afghanistan during 2013-2015. His other foreign assignments include those of in Embassy of India, Bangkok during 2008-2011, Embassy of India, Ashgabat during 2002-2005 and Embassy of India, Beijing during 1997-2000.
In the Ministry of External Affairs, he had served as Deputy Chief of Protocol (Facilities) during 2011-2013, External Publicity Division during 2005-2008 and in the Disarmament Division during 2000-2002.
He is married to Seema Miglani and has one daughter and one son. His hobbies include swimming, trekking and reading.
